Just returned from a lovely weekend at Hotel & Wirtshaus Hansen, and I must say, it was quite the charming spot! Nestled between Cologne and Düsseldorf, the location is absolutely perfect for a little exploration. We found the terrace delightful for our morning coffee and a bit of sunshine, and the free bottled water in the corridor was a lovely touch, especially after a day of hiking in the beautiful Bergisches Land region. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even during busy meal times. Speaking of meals, the breakfast buffet was decent, just what we needed to kickstart our day. While the room was adequate, the sound-insulated walls were a fabulous perk-so essential for a peaceful night's sleep, especially with my fiancé, who's not the best early riser! if you're after a laid-back place with a nice atmosphere, this family-run hotel might just fit the bill.
